Furthermore… this type of testing as proposed would be the sort of testing for for hundreds of tests with the actual computer version. I’m not really sure that this is what we need right now.

I’m with Orange that ANY testing is specialized and has a specific stated purpose. It must also be short term aka just convention and feature the standard game state of 1 human and 9 cpu. Anything else is pointless and is already being done by the multitude of other playtests.

AMPU: 1800 Playtest - Era of Republicanism
Willthescout7 replied to ebrk85's topic in A More Perfect Union (AMPU)
I’m not saying I don’t want it based on history. I’m saying there’s nothing wrong with some historical events not happening some games. we’ve only seen this issue once here. No other playtest has had an issue with events. Look at 1840, we have never had an issue where historical events that needed to happen didn’t happen and we’ve gone 30+ event cycles. This type of drastic change is unnecessary and should not happen. Like I said, once early access is out we can weigh any needed adjustments to event percentages, which I agree, probably need to be adjusted. But not until we have plenty of data to support a change. -

I think the events are fine. Not every event that happened irl needs to happen, or else this is just a history sim. If anything, percentages for each event to fire could be adjusted, but that needs to wait for early release. -
