There is no realistic way to capture what someone’s traits should be on a given date without doing an insane amount of research for every possible politician, every possible trait, every possible start date. The best fix would be for someone to go through and give leadership, controversial, etc to those who had earned it by 2012 and remove it for those who hadn’t yet.
