Prog Dems: "DAMMIT!!" many had hoped that trump couldn't win. Their reaction is of negativity and hatred for Democrats for putting a moderate Democrats as candidate. As such many will not attend and will promise to MAGA supporters and Trump that his presidency will feel the same slow crawl that republicans have done to obama.Con Reps: While not enthusiastic that a populist was elected. Trump has all of the best qualities while having some bad modifiers. They pledge to help Trump but he needs to move away from populistic promises and offer concessions if not then he will have a hard time passing anything. They will attend. The Blood
Moderate Republicans: For the moderates of the GOP, 2016 was a disaster. Decency, experience, and sanity were thrown out of the Republican Party in favor of Trump's demagoguery, and now, with Donald ascendent as President, Never Trumpers recognize that only a complete failure of Trump's Administration can restore their authority in the Republican Party. Understanding this, moderate Republicans will largely skip out of the inauguration, and sitting down with MSNBC, John Kasich will predict the collapse of America's "international prestige, democratic institutions, and economic vitality" during Trump's four years. Left-Wing Democrats: The political landscape of the Democratic Party was completely reshaped in 2016. Riding a wave of youth energy, progressive dissatisfaction, and general distaste for Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders came astonishingly close to the Democratic nomination as an open socialist, only halted by the conspiracy of the DNC to rig the primary. And as Bernie's wave was strangled out by the establishment in June 2016, a second populist wave surged, now from the right, carrying Donald Trump to victory in the general election. While the left are certainly no friends of Trump, they recognize the power of his populist rhetoric and white working-class support, and, seeking to do anything to distance themselves from those primary-rigging, corporate loving liberals, left-wing Democrats will not fully rebuke Trump's Presidency, with some even attending the inauguration. Furthermore, in an interview with Fox News, Bernie will declare, "Donald Trump is a dangerous man. I have said it before, and I will say it again. However, if his Administration shows a real commitment to the working class, to ending wars abroad, and to uprooting the one-percent's control over our democracy, I would be willing to work with him on those issues."

Progressive Democrats Criticizing the Party Roll:Rolls a 34%! Criticism of DNC for putting up Clinton as their preferred candidate falls short when delivered by Sens.Elizabeth Warren and Sherrod Brown and other progressives who when given the opportunity either flat out endorsed Clinton in the primary or stayed neutral. That argument was particularly used by Sanders 2016 supporters. Conservatives Reluctant Trump Support Roll:Rolls a 90%! Sen.McConnell and his allies draw a line with Trump exactly where their base wants it to be, supporting the President but not in the areas they consider too extreme. That stance is widely praised and this faction of the GOP is now considered as the one that will shape Trump agenda. How will their relationship with the President play out remains to be seen. 35 minutes ago, The Blood said: Moderate Republicans: For the moderates of the GOP, 2016 was a disaster. Sanders Ready to Work with Trump Roll:Rolls a 11% Sen.Sanders attending Inauguration, giving interview to Fox News and stating he is open to work with Trump disappoints many liberal Democrats, getting Bernie outcried as traitor to the party. While his staunch supporters defend him, this might hurt Bernies credibility amongst the liberal base. Dobs
Moderate Dems: Vice President Biden will attend the inauguration. Afterwards, he will call for national unity and healing on television, hoping to fill a void that the Clinton absence left. Mainstream GOP: Speaker Ryan finds himself in a similar position to Leader McConnell, but now that the GOP controls all three organs of government, the first order of business is to pass the Tax Cut he has been writing since he became Speaker in 2015. He will work with Ways and Means Chair Kevin Brady to pass the Ryan Tax Cut out of the House, officially known as the Tax Cut and Jobs Act. Outgoing VP gets harshly attacked by liberal activist wing of the party as being "too conciliatory" with Trump, his attending inauguration was appreciated but common opinion is he should have shown more teeth to the GOP if he wants to be Democrat leader in the years to come. Speaker Ryan Focusing on Tax Cuts:Rolls a 69%! Speaker Ryan stays on message,a popular one must be added. If House GOP gives him another term as the Speaker the party could profit off his issue-oriented approach. The MAGA Republicans will run Devin Nunes for House Majority Leader, Mo Brooks for House Majority Whip, and no candidates for senate leadership. The Liberal Democrats shall field Nancy Pelosi for House Minority Leader, and Chuck Schumer for Senate Minority Leader. (By the way, some of the politicians on the sheet are listed as belonging to the wrong faction. For example Ron Johnson is a member of the MAGA republicans on the sheet, but you listed him as a member of the RW Republicans on the forum. I think they delay in posting may be at least partially caused by player confusion relating to which politicians belong to which factions.) Steny Hoyer (D-MD, 5) will run for re-election as Minority Whip, and the Moderates will back Pelosi. Edited June 14, 2023 by Dobs

Right-Wing Republicans will support Senator McConnell and if he chooses to run, they will also support John Thune for Majority Whip.
