  • Reduce the number of Lower Court Justices- NAY

Senate

Domestic

  • Increase Salary of Judicial Branch Members- AYE

Foreign/Military

  • Issue Additional Military Pension for Veterans of a Recent War- (I think this needs to be clarified in the rules about how "Recent" a war can be.  Maybe less than 10 years past.  The two examples given are passing in 1922 & 1924 for WW1 which was 4 & 6 years after the war ended.  In our timeline, the Civil War ended in 1862, so that would be 16 years prior.  To me, 16 years is NOT recent.  So I believe this bill to be invalid and will vote NAY on it).

Judicial

  • Package- NAY
    • Restrict Activities and Powers of State and City Political Machines
    • Forbid Federal Troops at Polling Stations
    • Create Appeals Courts
  • 40-Year Minimum Age for SC Justices Amendment

If I'm not mistaken, recent is that a war ended in the previous half term which Vcczar stated in the 1916 playtest.

So this is IRL the Bonus Bill for WWI that was passed in 1924, 6 years after the war ended. So maybe we need to loosen the definition of recent war to 10 years like Matt said.

I will replace this bill with another.
