The Pentagon

The first thing a person noticed when they walked into Secretary of War's Gordon Hull's office in the Pentagon was a massive statue of  Ulysses S. Grant. It was a miniature version of the one protecting the US Capitol. The second was that in the entire palatial office, there wasn't a single chair anywhere near the Secretary's desk. Most people who visited the office figured that Hull's standing desk was a statement on the need for the military to never rest, never be too comfortable. However, those who knew Hull knew better. His Congressional desk also didn't have any chairs either. Hull was a man who believed that people needed to be in constant motion. If you were tired, collapse in exhaustion. Otherwise, get moving. That was the man leading the US military in 1916. A man who slept 2.5 hours every two evenings (unless you counted his standing naps).

Thanks for catching that. In that extra general spot we'll go with Pancho Villa.

I do think that might be something we want to flag V over. Should people like Panco Villa and Emilio Aquinaldo be allowed to serve as military leadership? In the game, nothing prevents it. IRL it wouldn't happen. But maybe it's too random to be able to correct. Just a thought.

Yesterdays foes is todays friends. Todays friends are tomorrows enemies. That's how US foreign policy has always worked.
