Ich_bin_Tyler
The School Book Liberals will vote aye for all of the cabinet nominees but want it to be known that a President that does not seek the input of his colleagues across the aisle does not seek to form close working ties across the aisle. We would greatly appreciate being able to be working partners with the President in all that he does and would like to know that even opposing views are heeded in private. Furthermore, we would like to praise the President for creating a cabinet of some of the most effective and capable men in this nation; however, we do wish to air our displeasure at the extremists that would be taken into the cabinet, namely the gentlemen from North Carolina and Utah.
Vols21
Senate Minority Leader Jacob Gallinger conveys deep respect to President Wilson for such a fine slate of men to serve our country. This group crosses the entire political spectrum, and most are held with the upmost esteem by their colleagues. However, there is one exception. The Department of Labor's mission of helping all Americans find gainful employment will be derailed by the extremist views that Josephus Daniels has. His recent comments that "the greatest folly and crime" in U.S. history was giving "Negroes" the vote (wiki) appalls me. I think an even greater crime would be to let this man be in charge of the Labor Department. His actions and comments lead me to rise up in opposition. I humbly request that President Wilson replace this nominee with someone who has more centrist views and would work for all Americans, not just his white supremist friends. There are other qualified men who would receive widespread support if their names were placed before this body instead. We fully 100% support all the other candidates for the Cabinet and urge their expeditious and even unanimous confirmation. However, we will vote NAY on Daniels and strongly urge other Senators to also rise up in opposition and to defeat his confirmation. Lars
Elihu Root is pleased to have discovered a new thing called "hentai" on his first day at work. And before you says "it wasnt invented yet", remember that "The Dream of the Fisherman's Wife" was painted in 1814.
