You have four Alabama politicians who are not programmed to be dead or retired by 2022, and who have legislative skill.  Jeff Sessions, Tommy Tuberville, Mo Brooks, Martha Roby.

Tuberville is a sitting Senator.  Mo Brooks is the Republican candidate for the other Senate seat.  Sessions is 75 and unemployed, which per game rules means he's retiring.  Martha Roby is a Representative.  There's nobody left to run for the remaining Alabama seat even though it should be red.

Is Doug Jones not in the game?

Haha.  I'm actually hoping some insane person does do this and that it's a shareable mod.  That would be awesome.  Obviously it can't be you, you've got other things to focus on.

In the meantime, for situations like what I flagged with Alabama, I am creating one real-life Rep to fill the seat. They're all very basic, 1 legislative skill, 1 experience, no traits.  Proper birth year, proper state, 1-2 sentence bio.  I'm happy to send them to you when you're ready to see them some day, but no rush.

Could generate them to use the generator.

Definitely could, but my desire was to create a "modern day" playthrough, starting at approximately today. Not fake people, and nobody running who isn't running in real life.

So beginning with the 2022 elections, everyone who has already won their real-world primary is automatically the general election candidate, and I only run primaries for people who have actually declared.  So, even if I hadn't retired Jeff Sessions for being 75 and unemployed, he still wouldn't be running for the Rep seat because that's not what he's doing in real life right now.

That's why I'm manually adding Reps where I don't have an accurate real-life candidate to fill that slot.

Look at adding Congressman Mike Rogers from AL.  I know he's been there at least 10 years.  He was my Congressman when I lived there over a decade ago and is still in the House. Very Red East Alabama district around Lee County, AL and Auburn.

Thanks.

He actually is one of the ones I randomly added.  To my playthrough.  Up to Vcczar on whether to add him to main game

2022 HOUSE ELECTIONS

In the weirdest headline of this election cycle, TrumpCPU Sarah Palin easily defeats @Arkansas Progressive Santa Claus for the Alaska House Seat.

AL-1: RubioCPU Rep. Jerry Carl easily defeats BidenCPU Rep. Terry Sewell.
AL-2: RubioCPU Rep. Mike Rogers wins with no real competition.

AR-1: PenceCPU Rep. French Hill wins with no real competition.
AR-2: McConnellCPU Rep. Rick Crawford wins with no real competition.

Continuing the 2022 House elections:

AZ-1: PenceCPU Rep. Paul Gosar defeats WarnerCPU Rep. Ruben Gallego.
AZ-2: TrumpCPU 8chan admin and possibly QAnon Founder Ron Watkins defeats @Arkansas Progressive Rep. Raul Grijalva.

CA-1:  @10centjimmy Rep. Young Kim ties WarnerCPU Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi!  But Speaker Pelosi wins the tie-breaker.
CA-2:  HarrisCPU Rep. Adam Schiff defeats PenceCPU Rep. Mike Garcia.
CA-3PenceCPU House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy defeats BidenCPU Rep. Maxine Waters

how close was KY also Josh Shapiro, and VT- I was thinking it may end up being an issue for these type of elections because they seem to keep losing (Scott, Logan, Brashear types) @vcczar @MrPotatoTed

Scott is the only extremely unlikely defeat

But how will this be replicated? I was thinking maybe a trait or something like that.
