After the failure of the administration supported infrastructure bill,Speaker Birch is hit by criticism from both left and right.Disharmonious Congressman Russo is the one to first jump the bullet and announce a challenge to Speaker Birch.Frank Underwood meets with Donald Blythe to offer him a simple deal,Blythe will propose Frank for new Speaker and Frank will endorse parts of his bold progressive agenda.Donald thinks for few moments and then responds”Frank,i respect you,but that is not a deal i want to make.You are a part of corrupt establishment that is keeping our country down for decades.I will not make you Speaker.”Frank grinned”Donald,you have always been a radical who never achieved a fucking thing.I wanted to help you be more but you decided you don’t want it.Goodbye.”Facing a choice between incumbent Speaker Birch and controversial Russo Democrats stick with the devil they know and Bob Birch is kept as Speaker of the House at least until the midterm election! Congresswoman Sharp announces her own version of failed infrastructure bill,which includes more pragmatic bipartisan solutions for real issues people face.She gets a considerable amount of bipartisan support and is praised as a “unifying leader” and “get-it-done Democrat”.Claire recognizes opportunity for her to get more involved in Washington by endorsing this bill.She meets Jackie in Frank’s office and the two quickly reach a common language.Claire holds a press conference announcing CWI’s support for bipartisan infrastructure bill. Republican Infrastructure Bill Republicans @The Blood:Rolls a 3! Raymond Tusk @The Blood:Rolls a 2! Group of moderate Republicans inspired by Governor Conway introduce their own version of infrastructure bill focusing on limited federal government.Mr.Tusk tries to influence Republican bill in the same way he did with President Walker endorsed version,but he got a slightly different response.On a phone call with Mr.Tusk,Minority Leader Mendoza told him “You gave your money to help elect Garret and now you expect Republicans to do you favors?!Goodbye Raymond!”Republican version of the bill quickly falters as many Republicans sign up on Sharp’s bipartisan proposal,partially encouraged by Mr.Tusk who started lobbying against this bill after Mendoza’s snub. Zoe documents her meetings with Frank using an audio recorder,hoping she will never have to use them but at the same time ensuring her downfall would be Frank’s downfall as well.Meanwhile,Frank gets more and more doubtful of Zoe’s loyalty and capabilities and orders Doug Stamper to start searching for some interesting informations about her,so he could eventually blackmail her if it comes to that and as always Doug delivers.Turns out Zoe’s journalistic career began with love affair with local media editor rather than her qualifications.Frank will keep this info as a weapon to use against Zoe if it is needed. Walker goes back to school President Garret Walker @Sean F Kennedy: Rolls a 1! President Walker tours public schools across the country to voice his support for public education,but the welcome he gets from the teachers isn’t the one he expected.Teachers union organized protests and forced the President to cancel the tour,escorted by Secret Service away from the booing crowd. Spinella’s Last Warning Marty Spinella @The Blood:Rolls a 6! Frank Underwood @Pringles:Rolls a 8! Marty Spinella uses harsher rhetoric in his more recent TV appearances threatening an all out teachers strike unless Congress and Walker administration act to deliver on their education reform priorities,his words are replayed many times on every news station in America.House Majority Whip Frank Underwood invites Spinella to Capitol for “constructive discussions”,after the meeting Frank endorses Spinella’s bold education agenda,pledging to “fight alongside my friend Marty for better education in America!”Frank earns praise for this statement but what teachers and parents really need is concrete action. Haas Speaking Tour Curtis Haas @The Blood:Rolls a 3! Curtis is well liked by the right wing of the GOP but not too popular amongst broader electorate. RNC Urban Push RNC @The Blood:Rolls a 7! RNC urban push expands their electorate in more urban areas while not alienating traditional rural Republicans. Claire sabotages America Part 3. Claire Underwood @Pringles:Rolls a 1! Claire once again manipulated the environmental resources of this country,but this time things won't go as well for her.White House Chief of Staff Linda Sanchez connects the dots and informs the President that all sites of recent disasters were under control by CWI,Claire Underwood led foundation which profited by the situation,indicating she done it on purpose.President Walker stood up furiously and yelled "Fucking Underwoods!They will pay me for this!Both Frank and his goddamn wife!" Rodja Posted November 19, 2021 Author Share Posted November 19, 2021 In previous post you can see rolls for all events with detailed stories,this is just the shortest highlights JULY-SEPTEMBER 2013 SHORT SUMMARY Player 1:@Pringles FU(Frank Underwood,Doug Stamper) Frank had a very mixed bag period last two months,leaving his position in a very interesting place.He failed to persuade Donald Blythe to nominate him for speakership and FBI Director Green to set up arrest of Lucas Goodwin.His relationship with Zoe Barnes is rocky and he is determined to put her back in her place.He reaches a deal with Marty Spinella earning some good press,but his relationship with WH might be permanently damaged by his wife's actions.Franks list of enemies and potential threats is growing:Russo,Lucas,Zoe,Usher and now the President of the United States. Player 2: @Pringles CU(Claire Underwood) Claire's environmental scheme is still going well with just a little issue-President of the United States found out about it.Garret is a powerful enemy to have and this development endangers both Claire and her husband Frank.Meanwhile,Claire causes some trouble to Garret with his wife Tricia and gets more statesman like press by endorsing Congresswoman Sharp's infrastructure bill Player 3: @Sean F Kennedy Administration(President Garret Walker,VP Jim Matthews,Chief of Staff Linda Sanchez) Jim Matthews is still the most popular member of administration proven by his successful SNL apperances and tour with the President.President Walker gets embarrassed by getting booed out of the school by teachers union,and Linda makes inapproriate comment to Vatican,but all of this is overshadowed by revelations Linda makes about Underwoods. Player 4:@WVProgressive Media(Tom Hammerschmidt,Zoe Barnes,Lucas Goodwin,Janine Skorsky) Lucas tried to get Gillian Cole to speak out but she rejected it.Zoe's relationship with Frank gets rocky.Janine earns praise for her style earning nickname "People's Journalist". Player 5:@Sean F Kennedy Democrats(Bob Birch,Peter Russo,Jackie Sharp,Donald Blythe,Heather Dunbar) Speaker Birch survived challenge from Peter Russo.Jackie Sharp is the rising star introducing popular bipartisan infrastructure bill that will likely pass. Player 6:@The Blood Republicans(Will Conway,Hector Mendoza,General Ted Brockhart) Republicans continue their relatively successful urban push.Moderate Republicans try introducing infrastructure bill but it is completely overshadowed by Sharp's bipartisan version.Curtis Haas is on a tour again,but not many people are impressed. Player 7:@The Blood Buisness and Lobbies(Raymond Tusk,Remy Danton,Shepherds,Marty Spinella) Tusk fails to get his amendment to Republican infrastructure bill,making him intentionally sabotage it by supporting Sharp's bipartisan one.Spinella reachs deal with Underwood. Will Conway will appear in Virginia to bolster the Republican cause, hoping that his presence will help establish the Republican push in the state as moderate in nature. 3. Congressional Republicans will continue pushing for their party's infrastructure bill, still hoping to sink Sharpe's proposal while passing their own. Lobbyists: 1. Tusk will refocus his lobbying efforts to Sharpe's infrastructure proposal, holding out with one last attempt to represent his interests in an infrastructure spending package as he offers large reelection sums for Congressmembers willing to amend the bill in his favor. 2.
