Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) launches her campaign for President during a speech in Detroit, Michigan, focusing on delivering manufacturing and clean energy jobs to the United States, ensuring abortion access nationwide, and a strong internationalist foreign policy. The governor focused on moderate and liberal talking points during her first speech, aiming to seize an opening in the field that has been left for new, but mainstream liberals.

(Short announcement, busy day - not doing a GOP candidate)

If it's okay, since you're still waiting for one RPer, I'd like to throw a couple more into the ring. If not, feel free to skip over these.

VP Kamala Harris

"Joe and I have accomplished so much together over these last four years, but there is still so much left to be done. I know it will be a challenge, but I have never and will never back down from a challenge. The people of this country face far bigger challenges every day, fighting to build better lives for themselves and their families. And I have always believed that no one should be left to fight alone.

"When I was a prosecutor, I would stand up in court and say, ‘Kamala Harris, for the people.’ Today, I announce my run for the presidency for the people struggling to pay their rent and mortgages in the face of gouging landlords and wealthy bankers. I announce for the people who have been left behind by an education system that perpetuates race and class divides. I announce for the people who need criminal justice reform because the police should protect ALL of us, not just a wealthy few. I announce for people who want to show the world who we really are: people who care about women’s’ rights, the rights of workers to be paid fairly, the right of the little old lady in Alabama who marched during the Civil Rights Movement to be able to vote freely and easily in our democracy.

When I am in the White House, none of them will be left to fight alone. And when I am in the White House, I will wake up everyday and remember who I work for! For the people!"

Fmr. VP Mike Pence

"We all have been endowed by our Creator to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That is the essence of American freedom. We live in the most prosperous nation in the history of the world. And yet over these last four years, a distinctly un-American ideology has taken hold to advance a “woke” agenda against our freedom. The ruling elite in Washington and all across the country have become so out of touch with American values and are now intent on crushing anyone who dares oppose them using their ‘cancel culture.’

"And so, I announce for the presidency of the United States today to defend our God-given freedoms against what I like to call the intolerance of tolerance. Our borders of under siege, our energy independence has been squandered, and big government socialism is grinding our economy to a halt. Now more than ever we need a freedom agenda for the future. That agenda means allowing the wisdom of our forefathers and Founding Fathers to be our lodestar. That agenda is to protect our culture, unleash opportunity for all people without regard for ‘woke’ corporate culture, being strong on the world stage, and standing up for international religious freedom. Thank you, and may God bless America!"

Thats why tonight i am proud to announce that i am officially running for President of these United States!

We are going to take our country back and we are going to make it stronger, more united and maybe the most important more freedom-loving than ever before!

I believe i am the right man for the job, because with all due respect there is an important difference between me and other candidates including the former President.

I've been fighting for this country my entire life.

I know what it's like to put your life on the line for America!

Rolls a 5!

There was nothing wrong with Whitmer announcement. It was a mainstream liberal speech with clear arguments but what prevented it from being a strong start for her was that she delivered it in almost robotic manner lacking energy needed to convince undecided voters.Governor will have a base of support amongst mainstream liberals but she will have to be more convincing in the future if she is serious about winning the nomination.

Harris event was constantly interrupted with hecklers booing her.Her incumbency makes Kamala the starting frontrunner but also gives her a bit of blame for inflation which causes some voters to have negative opinions of her campaign.Harris will have to work strong to keep being a frontrunner and become a nominee eventually.

Pence has a strong conservative message and it resonates well in the GOP.Although some MAGA people haven't forgotten Pence for certifying election results, his speech is welcomed and praised by conservative Republicans.Pence has a challenging race ahead but has a good start indeed.

Rolls a 8!

Gov.DeSantis enters the 2024 presidential field in a big style. His strong conservative speech got positive reactions across the GOP.He is described by Fox News pundits as a “perfect more polished alternative to Trump”;anti-Trump Republicans see him as their best chances and parts of MAGA base like him for being kinda Trumpy. Its definitely a good start for Florida Governor but he wont have easy time beating the former President with cult-like following.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams sports a pair of shades while announcing his 2024 Presidential campaign

Eric Adams stole headlines today announcing a surprise bid for President. The New York City Mayor pledged to "get stuff done" as President, saying, "As Mayor, I have made great advancements for New York City. I have fought crime, reformed our police department, promoted racial justice, brought us out of the COVID pandemic, and advanced New York's brand of opportunity and progress as mayor. And just as New York is the greatest city in the world, I am running to lead the greatest country in the world, America. I am running to be your President because I know we can do more to take down crime, get our economy moving, and fight for black and brown communities. Join me, America, so we can pick this country back up and work to get stuff done again."

NYC Mayor surprised many with a late entrance in 2024 presidential race. His "get things done" message resonated well with moderate Democrats and indenpendents alike giving him a pretty good start.More liberal Democrats are still very skeptical about Adams and he will have to extend his appeal if he is serious about winning the nomination.

AOC had an alright week except for Iowa. Her insistence on abortion rights played well amongst most Democrats who like her strong focus on womens right to choose, drawing only some light criticism from the moderates for potential alienating of moderate Republicans who could vote blue if Trump is the nominee. Her appearance on national media was pretty good as she focused on progressive priorities,it didnt help her expand her base but it convinced left-wing Democrats she fights for their cause. The weakest point were her rallies in Iowa where she talked about renewable energy in empty phrases without any real plans how to achieve it.

Not a good week for Tulsi. Her church tour in SC resonated well with conservative church goers but a problem is there isnt a whole lot of them who identify as Democrats. Her attacks on Biden and Cheney backfired as people view Tulsi as too negative and attack-based campaigner

Bad bad week for Former Guy.Wall speech still excites the base but most Americans are just tired hearing about it.His rally in IA went bad as Trump pledged to ban CRT but had some trouble explaining what it even is and his lowest point came with attack on Biden China policy in which he referred to Xi Jinping as “Winnie the Pooh guy” drawing criticism for racial insentive remark.

Christian values don't mean an strict adherence to faith, or an disdain for people who may lead a path that strays from god's vision. We must be inclusive, and unite the country onto one banner. Only then can I heal, but most importantly then the country is able to heal. Jesus is King, and Jesus loves everybody."

Liz Cheney Events:

1. Liz Cheney will begin touring Iowa where she talks about the importance of putting country over party. When asked about recent attacks on her from AOC and Tulsi Gabbard, she wittily responds, "I think any American seeking a nomination from either party shouldn't be susceptible to Pro-Putin rhetoric or Anti-Israel rhetoric. Especially when you're a Congresswoman from New York."

2. Liz Cheney heads to New Hampshire where she emphasizes bringing a new coalition into the Democratic Party that can keep America strong, and safe. She talks about her endorsement of multiple Democratic Representatives in 2022 that gave them a much needed boost in swing districts. "A new Democratic will not only hold the suburbs, we can keep them as long as it takes for the Republican Party, and Pro-Putin sympathizers within the Democratic Party to fade into the ash bin of American history."

3. Cheney heads to South Carolina where she believes she can tap into the more socially conservative African American population. Despite being attacked on abortion, Cheney says, "I've always been a Pro-Life individual, however the old fashioned Republican idea was that this is left to the states. I will uphold that promise. I will never support a national bill designed to impose 1 way of thinking on the country."

Endorsement Request: Former Senator Joe Lieberman. Hoping to make inroads with Jewish Democrats and attract moderate/independent fans of the Former Connecticut Senator.

How much the times have changed,if you told anyone Dick Cheney's daughter will run a good campaign in Democratic presidential primary just ten years ago in 2014,you would be sent to insane asylum.Cheney held a very strong rally in IA focusing on putting country over party which gets her a tsunami of praise across the political spectrum. Her abortion remarks helped her distance from GOP stance on the issue but its still not good enough for most Democrats. Her NH remarks drew strong criticism for using words like “fade into ash bin” describing her political opponents

Endorsement: Bill Clinton. While Adams may be running against Bill's wife, the mayor believes he can grab Bill Clinton's endorsement with the right pitch. Emphasizing his tough-on-crime attitude, Eric will praise the former President as the type of leader "the Democrats need today." Promising to fight crime, reduce the deficit, and "fix our welfare system", Adams hopes to appeal to Bill Clinton as a centrist Democrat.

1. Eric will campaign in South Carolina, promising to both "reform our police to end systemic injustice against black and brown people" as well as "give our officers the funding they need to tackle crime". Adams will emphasize his time as a police officer, declaring, "I joined the police force and served for 22 years because I knew I could fight for reform inside my department. I know what it's like to be a young black man who is beaten by the police, and as President I will work for systemic reform. And just as I oppose injustice from the police inflicted on our community, I also oppose the injustice of crime across America. We need more funding, training, and equipment to give our police what they need to tackle the crime wave which has hit this country. I fought against crime as a cop on the streets and as a mayor in city hall, and I hope to fight crime as a President in the White House as well."

2. Adams, a vocal vegan, will promise to investigate the meat and dairy industries as President while campaigning in Nevada, proclaiming, "Our country is failing on health. I mean, just look around this room and you can see what I mean! We need to cut it out with the sweets and fast food, and accept the holistic, spiritually fulfilling health a plant-based diet gives us. It is only through this diet that I have the strength to run for President, and as President I will investigate the abusive actions of the meat and dairy industries towards billions of animals worldwide as well as promote healthy eating in our schools and communities."

3. Adams will continue his Nevada campaign, pledging his support for cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies to be taught in schools, stating at a rally that, "America needs to ride this crypto wave. I've been vocal about this as mayor, and I pledge to you Nevada that America will become the crypto and blockchain capital of the world when I'm President. We need our kids to understand this important technology in schools, and this industry will generate trillions for our country if we exploit it to the fullest extent. I don't care if it's Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Dogecoin. Eric Adams is a cryptohead."
