The full candidate platforms can be found at the link below. I ask only two thing from each of you. 1. Is that you vote in only one party primary, and not both, this is so liberals don't swamp Republicans, and conservatives don't swamp Democrats. Violation of this rule will result in both ballots being thrown out. 2. Is that, if you are a candidate, you vote for someone other than yourself. Violation of this rule will not result in you vote being voided, but I will be very disappointed in you.

Now with more Bushwa!

Well, it's been over 24 hours, usually I would move on, but the race is so close I want to keep it open a bit longer. That said, here's how the primaries stand after a little over a day:

America Decides - Latest videos, politics, elections, news, analysis ...

Democrats have received a healthy turnout of 14 votes and see multiple candidates break away from the rest of the pack though it's likely that, barring a massive shift in moment for one side or the other, there will need to be a runoff.

Forum veteran, and George Wallace reincarnate Blood is currently holding a narrow lead with five votes representing a little under 36% of the Democratic vote.

Orange P47 is Blood's main opponent for the nomination, even after accusations of voter fraud. With three valid votes OP47 has a little over 21% of the vote

Edouard is a distant third with two votes, or a little over 14% of the vote

Hestia, Vcczar, Rezi, and 10CentJimmy all round out the field with one vote, or around 7% of the vote.

Republicans by comparison are suffering from much lower turnout (6 in comparison to the Democrats 14), and are without a clear frontrunner

Pope Pius 13 has the narrowest of leads with two votes, or around 33% of the vote, narrowly missing the 51% cut off for avoiding a runoff.

Pringles, Short King, Jvikings, and Bushwa each have one vote, or 1 a little under 17%

Dakota Hale does not have any valid votes, despite attempts to commit voter fraud by OrangeP47 but you can believe that we are investigating this incident to the fullest.

I know some of those @ed below have already voted, but I just wanted to try to encourage those who haven't voted/haven't seen this yet to vote especially those right-of-center

I didn’t read the actual platforms, I just went by your one-sentence summary of each candidate in the poll — to represent the undecided voter who wasn’t paying attention at all and had no idea the primaries were today but votes anyway based on what random people have said on social media about the candidates, which may or may not actually be true. ;c)

I’d like to point out that the only reason I have the lead is because I accidentally voted for myself. Which means that, technically, we are all tied.
