She focuses on a message that she can bring the country together and face this divisiveness with the toughness and grit required in order to bring down Donald Trump. She says that she is running a campaign focused on those that are downtrodden in the United States, whether they be black, brown, white or anywhere in between. She says she is the candidate for them. Harris hopes to draw upon her experience running statewide campaigns in California, as well as some experience she gained in the 2018 midterms by going around the country. She wants to be a campaign for the party's broad liberal flank, somewhere between moderate and left that she can make her own winning formula.
