reading through the speech he gave to an infamous Holocaust denial about organization, there’s a lot of fluff in there about correcting Jews or facing opposition from Jewish people that are sort of small red flags for anti Semitism on their own, ignoring his comments that the organization “May or may not” be correct that the Holocaust never happened. He also talked about how he agreed with the ideals of the group and whatnot. It just gives me closet-but-open anti-Semite.

This was an issue in his 2006 campaign as well. Poor Pete but tbh I doubt it would hurt him much when he’d have a maximum of like .1% anyway. Most votes he would get would be protest votes anyway.

Sherrod Brown announces candidacy for President in Cleveland, Ohio

Sherrod Brown was the lone statewide Democrat in Ohio for the past ten years, after John Kasich won a narrow victory over Ted Strickland The Buckeye State has overall trend it more towards the Republicans and even worse it has shifted towards Donald Trump‘s brand of republicanism. Senator Sherrod Brown sees him as the only Democrat who can win states like Iowa and his home state of Ohio. He knows that there is definitely a lane for him with the split between Senator Bernie Sanders and former vice president Joe Biden. He steps out to the stage where he meets hundreds of cheering fans many of whom actively campaign for his reelection in 2018.

“ my fellow Americans for far too long we have had figures like Donald Trump and before him George Wallace who have taken the dark sides of populism and twisted it into their own form, truth is I remember a lot of the things that Donald Trump said during the campaign in 2016, I said that there was going to be a great tax cut for the middle class when the majority of that went to the top 1% and the tax cuts for the middle and working class or in a sunset provision, he said he would not go after Social Security and Medicare and he’s done exactly that, he told the working class blue-collar workers in states like Ohio lies after lie. The Democratic Party needs to be a combination Of the progressive wing led by my friend Senator Bernie Sanders and the main stream wing represented by my friend Vice president Joe Biden, I truly Believe that I can be the candidate for all Democrats who want to fight for Medicaid and expand it, for somebody who’s going to stand side-by-side with our unions, somebody who’s ready To go into these red counties and fight for every single vote. Many of the people that bought it for me last year I voted for Donald Trump in 2016 and that’s because a lot of them realize that he lied to them and isn’t actually fighting for them And know that I will fight for them whether they vote for me or not, and I intend to tell Donald Trump to his face during the debates that his manipulation of the working and the middle class is over! I will take the fight directly to him and expose him for the fraud he is!”

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-California) announces her run for the Presidency

harris.thumb.jpg.848f11c3e54bdacb8dba82689fb6d516.jpg

Senator Kamala Harris, Democrat from California, announces her campaign for the presidency during a packed rally. She focuses on a message that she can bring the country together and face this divisiveness with the toughness and grit required in order to bring down Donald Trump. She says that she is running a campaign focused on those that are downtrodden in the United States, whether they be black, brown, white or anywhere in between. She says she is the candidate for them.

Harris hopes to draw upon her experience running statewide campaigns in California, as well as some experience she gained in the 2018 midterms by going around the country. She wants to be a campaign for the party's broad liberal flank, somewhere between moderate and left that she can make her own winning formula.

Kirsten Gillibrand kicks off presidential campaign at New York diner | US elections 2020 | The Guardian

Today, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand delivered her first major speech as a candidate for president, called "Brave Wins." She stood in front of Trump International Hotel in New York City and offered her positive and brave vision for our country.

"It's a gorgeous day, and looking around at this diverse and beautiful crowd … there's no doubt that America is great.

Our Declaration of Independence was the start of a conversation about how to achieve life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for every citizen. Our Constitution was always intended to grow and adapt as we formed a more perfect union, established justice, and ensured peace, security, and the blessings of liberty.

Even our national anthem ends in a question: “Oh say does that star-spangled banner yet wave, over the land of the free and the home of the brave?”

That open-ended question is what defines us: not just who we are or were, but who we will be. It challenges us to choose to take the next step, to fight that next fight, to answer that fundamental question: will brave win?

And the truth is, brave hasn't always won. And brave isn't winning right now.

Brave doesn't spread hate or bully the vulnerable. Brave doesn't put greed and self-interest over millions of lives. Brave doesn't cower behind lies and walls. Brave doesn't pit people against one another… That's what fear does.

This President has tried to reduce America to its smallest self. By attacking the values and institutions of our democracy, and turning our most cherished principles inside-out. Rooting for bigotry and discrimination and violence, closing our doors to immigrants and refugees, taking from the many to line the pockets of a few.

President Trump is tearing apart the moral fabric of this country. He demonizes the vulnerable and he punches down. He puts his name in bold on every building. He does all of this because he wants us to believe he is strong. He is not. Our President is a coward. That's not what we deserve – not what you deserve. We deserve a president who is brave; a president who will walk through fire to do what is right.

We deserve a president who inspires us to stand for something greater than ourselves. Day in and day out, Americans are making a choice to resist the backward pull of this Administration and pushing us toward a better future. And it's brave choices like yours that have inspired me to take on the fights that others won't. It's because of you that I've chosen to be brave too. Because the people of this country deserve a president worthy of your bravery. A president who not only sets an example, but follows yours. Your bravery inspires me every day. And that is why I'm running for President of the United States."

Richard Ojeda runs for president; Democrat says he can win ...

Richard Ojeda, failed candidate for the House of Representatives, announces his intentions to run for President in 2020 in his native town of Logan, West Virginia

"I'm Richard Ojeda, and I'm running for president! I'm running for President, because for too long the working people of this country have been shafted! We've been abandoned by a political class that doesn't give a damn about us, or our lives! Our so-called leaders, in Washington only care about lining their own pockets by selling us out to lobbyists. When I'm President I'm going to make sure every last one of those sons of bitches gets thrown out into the cold!

The working people of this country already know that we've been abandoned by our political class. We elected Trump because we thought he could do something about it, but instead he's just another anti-American swamp monster, just like the rest of them!

The American people have had enough! We're sick, and damn tired of being taken advantage of by career politicians, and billionaire businessmen! You know what I was before I entered politics? I served in the United States Army Airborne, and helped win the Iraq war, because where I grew up, you only had three career choices after you graduated high school. You could sling dope, dig coal, or join the army, I chose the army, and through serving my country I rose to the rank of Major before I retired. After retirement I became the ROTC instructor at Chapmanville Regional High School, and intrinsically understand the needs, and concerns of teachers thanks to my time there.

I understand the concerns of the American people, because I've lived my entire life as a member of the working class. I stood shoulder to shoulder with the teachers unions during the strike of 2018, and I'll continue to fight for the rights of the working man as President! I'll end the corporate control of our politicians with three simple steps I call the Service Requires Sacrifice Plan:

1. Anyone who is elected to Federal public office, or is appointed to the Cabinet, must sacrifice any net worth over a million dollars to charity of their choice. A real charity, not some family foundation run by their kids!

2. After they retire from public office, they will collect a $130,000 pension per year. They can make another $120,000, on their own, for a total of $250,000 per year maximum for life, subject to automatic yearly cost of living adjustments. If you really want to sell your country out to big pharma, all you can get in return for your soul is $120,000.

3. Elected officials will have the same healthcare package options as everyday Americans.

Thank you for your support, and now lets get this campaign going, and return the reigns of Democracy to the American people! Sappers clear the way! Airborne all the way!"

Pete McCloskey announces his campaign at a BLM rally in Oakland California.

”Many years ago I ran against a racist and corrupt republican, and now I must do the same thing again. Donald Trump is destroying this country, police are killing black minorities, and the have nots are struggling while the rich get tax cuts.”

”During my first day in office I will sign executive orders slashing oil and gas funding to the legal minimum, and I will support a Green New Deal. I was at the forefront of the Earth Day movement, but there is so much more that we can do.”

“I know some people are worried about my age. To fix this issue I have hired two assistants to help me run my campaign with these newfangled electronics, and to keep me in good shape. Please welcome Jeremiah Ellison, a prominent BLM activist and fighter for justice. Also welcome John McCloskey, my son and campaign manager for me. LETS WIN THIS ELECTION!”

Mike Gravel announces his 2020 campaign with the above video and releases a statement along with it.

"You'd think after my defeat forty years ago this old man would promptly fade into obscurity. It is for the most part true, but that has not stopped me from remaining active in politics! I've learnt a lot over the past few decades, and I've seen more than nearly anyone in this race has. What I can safely say is that America has never ever been this polarized in my lifetime! Four years ago, Donald Trump was elected as a massive blow to the establishment. This man is the most dangerous President we have ever had in the history in America! And there is only one thing, one entity to blame for it all. If you guessed the American political establishment..., then you would be correct! Trump himself said he would "drain the swamp". But he himself has essentially made his ideology the party establishment! What's even sadder is that most of the GOP has bent over backwards for him! What a damn shame! Of course, the Democratic party is still at fault. The DNC establishment and the big donors have stifled progressive fighters like me, and they instead try to push old establishment policy that just won't work anymore. We saw that with Hillary, and for gods sake we need a change in politics! We need someone to shake up the system, and I Maurice Robert Gravel am the right candidate for that job! I'm talking about a Green New Deal. I'm talking about ending the racially charged War on Drugs. I'm talking about affordable housing. I'm talking about Medicare for All. I'm talking about reinvigorating the working class. Most importantly, I'm talking about ending our imperialistic foreign policy!"

"I am running as the voice for justice. I want to shift the conversation to the left, and show Americans how and why progressive policy with a progressive fighter can work! The Democratic establishment and the Republican party will do everything in their power to stop us, and so I ask you the people to come support me on my quest. I can't do this without you, the average American trying to get by. So come on and join the Gravelanche, donate and volunteer for us. We all have a lot of work to do."

Beto O’ Rourke announces his candidacy at a major concert in his home town of El Paso, Texas.

”When I ran for senate in Texas two years ago, I was told I was wasting my time. I was told that Texas was too republican, and that I didn’t have a chance. Instead of giving up, however, I visited ever town, city, and county in the entire state to meet people face to face and get my message across. I shook thousands of hands and gave hundreds of speeches, and although I didn’t win I proved that a message of unity and common sense solutions can make a difference in so-called red states.”

”This election is about who can bring this country together again, after the divisive and inflammatory rhetoric and actions of Donald Trump. We need a candidate who can bring in people from all walks of life. My platform will ensure that there is enough to go around for every American.”

1.) I will fight for a public option in our healthcare system. There is no question that our system needs reform, and this will give Americans the resources they need to best provide for their own health.

2.) I will increase federal aid to public schools, to address the concerning decline in American educational standards and test results. I will also move our system away from standardized high-stakes testing.

3.) I will advocate for small businesses by regulating and breaking up the big monopolies that are stifling innovation. I will also create new tax credits for startup businesses, to ensure that Americans of all income levels can participate in the great American dream.

4.) I will support the right of immigrants to start a new life here by bringing back DACA, and introduce a comprehensive immigration reform bill during my first year in office.

5.) I will ensure marriage equality rights through legislation, and will fight to make sure abortion is safe, legal, and rare.

6.) I will promote safe, responsible gun usage by American gun owners. I will pass a universal background check to keep American guns out of the hands of terrorists.

7.) I will pass legislation ensuring education and health services for our veterans.

8.) I will launch a comprehensive zoning reform program to ensure cheaper housing nationwide, and remedy our homelessness epidemic.

9.) I will push for legalization of marijuana, and increase funding to drug rehabilitation centers.

10.) I will launch a major reform of the American Prison system, to tackle the issues perpetuated by the Prison-Industrial Complex.

Former New York Mayor and Businessman Michael Bloomberg announces a run for President at a rally in New York.

bloomberg-women-sh-rc-200229_hpMain_16x9_992.thumb.jpg.1865db6cb5a12d56c3fef6264de7ee0a.jpg

"My fellow Americans, my fellow New Yorkers. I come to you today to announce my candidacy for the Democratic Nomination for President of the United States!"

Cheers would erupt among many of New York's financial elite, and numerous Bloomberg supporters in the city over the years of his Mayoral tenure.

"It is at this moment, that America stands at a crossroads. Donald Trump has disgraced the office of President with his corrupt, amoral, and disastrous conduct. The very soul of America is at stake. Us Democrats must rise to this opportunity and take down Donald Trump while we still can.

I'll be honest with you my fellow Americans, I was once a Republican. I was Mayor of New York, and we lead a period of rebuilding, economic growth, and bipartisanship. That's the kind of leadership it's going to take to restore America. We see politics destroying families, we see brother against brother, sister against sister.

IS this the America we want our children growing up in? One of hatred, bigotry, and violence fueled by this terrible excuse of a President that occupies the White House?

However, I want to make clear, Donald Trump is not the only danger to our way of life, and our decency not only as Americans, but as human beings. The calls for a complete demolition of the American system, and usher in socialism, is also a clear and present threat to our survival as a nation.

Is the answer to beating an incumbent President who has already undermined and destroyed our national values simply tearing it down further? Of course not!

It is to repair the damage, heal the nation, and commit to the progress that Americans have embraced throughout the course of history.

My fellow Americans, I believe that I am the best candidate to do that because when I was Mayor of New York, we brought all sides together and solved problems that the everyday American is facing. We didn't give any promise we couldn't keep, we didn't say all of your troubles would cease. What we promised was results. We promised, we delivered.

I am increasingly aware of the Never-Trump coalition that is growing in the Republican Party. I want to personally call on all of you who have been left out, felt deserted, felt that no one is there to represent you, to join us. We may have disagreements, we may not see eye to eye on everything. But I promise you, you will be valued, your support and your determination to stop Donald Trump with me will win us this election in 2020.

I am here to build bridges. Not tear them down.

I also want to make a clear distinction between me and the other candidates tonight. I am a self-made, businessman who has been blessed to have the success I've had throughout my life. My Jewish faith and values have carried me all the way to this point, here tonight. I will be taking no donations from the American people. I am a self funded candidate. The American people are already struggling, and unlike Bernie Sanders, and others that are running who call for the abolition of money, yet take your money with open arms anyways, ought to be ashamed of the very platforms they are pushing.

I want to thank all of you here tonight, and remember these words before I go.

America will never be a socialist nation. Donald Trump will be defeated in November. And we will rebuild America. We are a new choice for the Democrats. I hope to see you all on the campaign trail, and God Bless all of you, and God Bless the United States of America."

"The Soul Of This Nation" - Joe Biden Kicks Off 2020 Presidential Run In Official Announcement Video

R9ea353a0fee33c362b6e779cf588ad00.thumb.jpg.bd57a99f9fcb13873f87c35a005cc149.jpg

"Folks, there are few things in my life which I truly regret. I have tried to lead a life of public service which I can look back on and be proud of. However, if there is one decision I can say I regret, one single and defining choice, it would be my decision not to run for President four years ago. There have been many, many defining moments in this nation's history. From George Washington crossing the icy waters of the Delaware River, to Abraham Lincoln giving the Emancipation Proclamation, we have seen time and time again moments which have sent waves through history and allowed for democracy and what is just to triumph. The 2016 Election was just as defining as these moments, but it was not a triumph for what is right like they were. Because while we let our party fall to division and chaos, the epitome of division and chaos swooped in and won the Presidency. Come on man! Donald Trump is a racist, a bigot and a bully who praises neo-Nazis as "very fine people". But in 2016, we were too busy tearing each other apart to actually try and stop him! Folks, we are in a battle for the soul of this nation. I have served in public office for decades, and I have never seen a moment as crucial and vital as this. Because while 2016 may have been the moment which brought us to our current crisis, this election is the opportunity we have to reverse course and heal the wounds hurting our communities and families. We have the opportunity now to elect a President who actually cares for the American people. Someone who understands what it means to have loss, and who will fight and actually give a damn for the working class people of this nation. Folks, I am not repeating the mistake I made in 2016. Because right now we need a President able to unite the Democratic Party and unite our nation. We need someone who will enter the Oval Office ready to heal the divides in our nation and restore the soul of this country. And America, I believe I am that someone. I am running for President of the United States. Because it's time to defeat Donald Trump and ensure that our grand democratic experiment can continue on stronger than ever. Thank you."
