Everyone is super excited about it! Everyone, that is, except the Mexicans. But that's hardly any concern of yours. Mexico is still reeling from their own expensive revolutionary war against Spain, preparing for the possibility that Spain may attack again from their stronghold in Cuba, and really just doing a pretty shit job of uniting their newfound country together -- there is significant infighting and the possibility that the Mexican factions that united against Spain may turn against each other now, further fracturing the country.
