The Last Stand of Andrew Cuomo - Alternate 2022 New York Gubernatorial RP

The Blood

Final Candidate Rolls

Suozzi - 52

Hochul - 54

Williams - 99

Cuomo - 44

RFK Jr. - 90

Prince - 77

Democratic Convention Results - Ninth Round

443 committee members total - 222 needed to win

Jumaane Williams - 222 committee members (50.11%)

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.  - 67 committee members (15.12%)

Kathy Hochul - 60 committee members (13.54%)

Tom Suozzi - 55 committee members (12.42%)

Andrew Cuomo - 25 committee members (5.64%)

Paperboy "Love" Prince  - 14 committee members (3.17%)

Result: Just when the convention seemed to be narrowing down to two candidates, everything fell into disarray, with both Suozzi and Hochul being hit with major scandals over their tactics to sway committee members and Cuomo facing an allegation of sexually harassing a party official on the convention floor. This all opened the way for Jumaane Williams to surge to an upset victory and for RFK Jr. to take a shocking, if distant, second place, also securing ballot access thanks to Paperboy Prince's rule change.

1. Sliwa will campaign in NYC talking the upticking crime epidemic in New York, saying he will stomp it out.

2. Sliwa will visit the home of Former President Theodore Roosevelt saying that Roosevelt and Rockefeller Republicans are the best hope to topple Andrew “handsy” Cuomo.

3. Sliwa will seek the endorsement from Theodore Roosevelt V, the great grandson of the former President.

Event One: 8. Sliwa's message performs well, with the people of NYC seeking an escape from rising crime and finding their solution in Curtis' campaign.

Event Two: 2. The fact is there simply aren't many "Rockefeller" or "Roosevelt" Republicans left, and those remaining are primarily supporting Pataki, viewing Sliwa as an entertaining distraction.

Event Three: 9. Roosevelt V endorses, providing strong material for the Sliwa campaign's mailers and ads.

Overall: +4. While his convention performance was disappointing, Sliwa remains fighting, gaining needed momentum on the campaign trail.

1.Williams will seek the endorsement of Sen.Elizabeth Warren,if she accepts they will tour the state together promoting their joint commitment to "big structural change" in American politics.

2.Williams will hold a listening tour with public school teachers across the state.

3.Williams will seek the endorsement from AOC holding a mega rally with her in NYC if she accepts. If not,Williams will hold a rally focused on workers rights in NYC alone.

Event One: 8. Warren endorses, strengthening Williams' support among New York progressives while also bringing in national fundraising, and their events together perform well.

Event Two: 1! Preparing for an event with teachers, Williams will be caught on a hot mic stating, "We're just pandering to these sad fucks. Personally, I'd lower their salaries." creating a major scandal for his campaign.

Event Three: 7. AOC endorses! The mega rally sees fair attendance, with AOC energizing Jumaane's base.

Overall: 0. While the teachers' scandal evens out his momentum from the campaign trail, Jumaane has little to worry about after his surge in support following the Democratic convention.

Don Jr. will approach Jimmy McMillan, and the Rent is Too Damn High Party, offering volunteers to gather signatures petitioning for ballot access, and promising to only use his own money in funding the campaign if they would endorse him for governor.

Don Jr. will also approach the New York Right to Life party with a similar offer.

Trump will ask his father to campaign alongside him to excite the MAGA base in upstate New York.

Event One: 5. McMillan and the RTDH Party will not accept at the moment, stating they plan to "watch the race closely" before deciding who is "the true populist to lead our movement."

Event Two: 5. Similarly, the Right to Life Party is reluctant to endorse Trump Jr. just yet, stating that the GOP field includes "many committed anti-abortion candidates."

Event Three: 3. Donald Trump will refuse to campaign with his son just yet, stating he's busy "moving some paperwork" at Mar-a-Lago.

Overall: -6. With both the sting of DT's refusal and the damage of a Zeldin attack ad, Trump Jr.'s post-convention momentum is weakened significantly by his mishaps on the campaign trail.

1. Suozzi focuses on the Asian American turnout by meeting with community leaders in Flushing, Bensonhurst and Elmhurst. He also plans on asking Rep. Grace Meng for an endorsement to strengthen his ties with the progressive wing.

2. Suozzi addresses voters at a rally in Buffalo: "While I really like Kathy and consider her to be the only other non-radical in the Democratic primary, recent events have made it more and more clear, that she's not the right person to prevent us from Governor Doesn't-know-where-his-hands-belong winning another term."

3. While touring Long Island Souzzi attacks the GOP and warns of Trump Jr. winning the primary. "Together with Governor Cuomo on the ballot an election between Cuomo and Trump Jr. could throw the State of NY into turmoil, because both of them must be stopped at all costs."

Event One: 8. Grace Meng will endorse, working with Suozzi to build support among the Asian American community.

Event Two: 10! Suozzi's strike into Hochul's home territory plays wonderfully, with his rally packed with voters and Tom driving home that he is the right candidate to beat Cuomo.

Event Three: 8. The voters of Long Island agree that the extreme and disgraced candidates in the race must be rejected, looking to Suozzi as their protection from them in the race.

Overall: +11! With his rollercoaster convention performance already giving a minor lift to his campaign, Suozzi now surges on the campaign trail, with success after success for his centrist crusade.

1. Paperboy "Love" Prince is not deterred from their online efforts. This time they will attempt to ratio every candidate in the Republican primary for governor. They enlist the Yang Gang specifically to spread the word.

2. Paperboy "Love" Prince treks down to more familiar territory for them, New York City. They campaign throughout Brooklyn, going to train stations, the local coffee shop, bodegas, etc.

3.PLP asks the Working Families Party for an endorsement, saying that they are the candidate most suited to fight for progressive causes. An endorsement could also come in handy later on…

Event One: 4. The Yang Gang isn't what it used to be, and Paperboy once against finds themself outnumbered on twitter.

Event Two: 3. Paperboy is asked to leave one bodega after they attempt to hug its resident cat and find their face well-scratched and dozens of items of merchandise knocked on the floor.

Event Three: 2. The Working Families Party will publicly refuse Paperboy, calling them a "joke candidate."

Overall: -5. After failing to breakthrough at the Democratic convention, Paperboy is further embattled on the campaign trail, with their minor campaign rapidly declining.

1. Zeldin will attack Trump Jr. in television ads that will talk about his inexperienced and radical views he has

2. Zeldin will campaign throughout New York state where he will meet voters and hold town halls

3. Zeldin will try to gain the endorsement of congressional Republican Elise Stefanik once again.

Event One: 9. Zeldin's attack ads land, hitting Trump Jr. hard for his lacking resume and far-right views.

Event Two: 4. The town halls are poorly attended, as most people simply don't find Zeldin exciting to show up for.

Event Three: 5. Stefanik once again defers, both refusing to endorse Zeldin while also not closing the door on him.

Overall: +3. While his failure at the GOP convention is certainly a calamity for his campaign, a modest boost of momentum on the campaign trail will help shield some of the blow.

RFK Jr will air a TV ad of himself doing shirtless pushups.

RFK Jr will join his supporters in a door knocking event, in an attempt to connect with voters on the doorstep and generate potentially social media worthy moments. He will be shirtless for this.

Finally, RFK Jr will hold a rally in upstate New York. Shirtless.

Event One: 8. New York voters are swooning over RFK's televised thirst traps.

Event Two: 6. While it's a little strange, enough voters appreciate RFK's shirtless bod at their doorstep for him to gain some support canvassing.

Event Three: 5. Finally, it seems voters have seen enough of RFK Jr.'s physique, as the gimmick doesn't help his rally.

Overall: +4. With his surprise convention performance pushing him forward, RFK gains further momentum with his innovative campaign tactics.

  1. Andrew Cuomo makes a campaign promise to legalize commercial gambling in the state of New York.
  2. Andrew Cuomo requests an endorsement from Kathy Hochul's husband and former US Attorney Bill Hochul.
  3. Andrew Cuomo petitions the Working Families Party for general election ballot access on their line.

Event One: 1! Somehow, perhaps because it was on his mind, Cuomo will state he supports "legalizing commercial sexual harassment" as his new campaign promise.

Event Two: 8. While of course he'll still need convincing to entirely betray his spouse, Bill Hochul will release a statement declaring that his "wife and Governor Cuomo are both great gubernatorial candidates, each deserving of support."

Event Three: 2. After last year's scandals and his performance at the Democratic convention, the Working Families Party is entirely opposed to endorsing Cuomo.

Overall: -5. With his disastrous showing at the Democratic convention and failures on the campaign trail, Governor Cuomo's campaign is in a state of proper collapse.

The New York Court of Appeals, having reached its decision, dismisses criminal charges for lack of a complaining witness. It seems no one was stupid enough to buy into the scheme, except for those that were too stupid to realize they were being scammed. This has rendered any possible criminal case that the state might refer to be without standing for lack of real damages. Any campaign finance violation has been remanded to Nassau County Civil Court, a body that is empowered to issue a fine of up to $25,000 on civil matters. In this matter, the Court of Appeals has recommended a verbal warning and fine not to exceed $5,000.

It is so ordered.

- Chief Judge Janet DiFiore, New York State Court of Appeals

Effect Roll: 3. The Nassau County Civil Court slaps Santos with a warning and small fine, with the event only making the headlines for a day and proving mostly unimpactful for George's campaign.

On 6/28/2023 at 6:29 PM, Cal said:

1. Santos, after his latest scheme not going WELL but not particularly blowing up, decides that for at least one action he will be a squeaky clean politician.

Just kidding. It's just incentive to keep it up. One of Santos's most reliable criminal supporters has got some great blackmail on Raghu Sundaram, the President of the New York University Stern School of Business. Now, with the fallout of the Santos Together Pledge, Santos needs to not only restore the business community's faith in his campaign, but bolster it. Therefore, he will be blackmailing Sundaram for a full throttled endorsement of his campaign and why he thinks taking the pledge is a good idea. After all, it was only "most" who declined to buy in to the pledge, and Chief Judge DiFore has made it clear that the only issue was if someone was stupid enough to buy into it as a "scheme." The information is fully open to the public and offer available to all still, and hopefully, Sundaram can convince others that it's a genuinely good investment on the money.

Further, Santos will also demand that Sundaram provide him with a research article to publish under his own name, to bolster his own academic credentials. After all, no one will bother to verify his background if he's so obviously a professional, right?

2. Now that Santos has a little bit of money to throw around, he means business. There's gotta be at least someone higher up in the NYPD that is speaks the universal language of dollar signs. Once Santos finds that person, he'll explain that what he wants is for the public to believe that later that night, a reluctant Zeldin supporter set fire to Santos's home in an effort to force the candidate out of the primary, either through fear, incapacitation, or death. Further, Santos needs the NYPD to note that the Zeldin supporter had been coaxed into doing so by Zeldin himself, who told him it was a necessary deed for Zeldin to take the nomination.

3. Finally, after a fun week of criminal activity, Santos will take to Twitter to declare that the Republican Party needs a new face in New York, and that they need a bridge between the GOP of decades past, such as Pataki, and radical candidates like Zeldin.

(Also of note but not an action per se: One of Santos's campaign staffers dropped a little something off with Chief Judge DiFiore's clerk, Ed Mangini.)

Event One: 5. Sundaram, either not believing the blackmail's authenticity or feeling particularly ballsy, sends it right back without an endorsement, though he doesn't leak the interaction.

Event Two: 4. All seemed to be going well, with the NYPD official accepting Santos' deal, until Santos' house burned down, and a police report wasn't even filed, with the NYPD official seemingly doing it all for laughs.

Event Three: 10! Santos' tweet goes viral, with many declaring that he's the fresh, electable candidate the New York GOP needs!

Overall: +4. While his lacking convention performance has left his campaign in decline, Santos finds some respite online, even as his criminal schemes continue floundering.

On 6/29/2023 at 4:48 PM, Pringles said:

1. Pataki hits the streets of NYC one more, meeting and greeting his way through every vote.

2. Pataki will request the endorsement of Representative Nicole Malliotakis.

3. Pataki will ask that his endorser, Steve Cohen host a major fundraiser for his campaign. Inviting local party establishment and schmoozing them for checks and endorsements.

Event One: 6. New York City is receptive to Pataki, as the former Governor flexes his retail politics skills.

Event Two: 7. Malliotakis endorses, providing a fair boost to Pataki's campaign.

Event Three: 1! Steve Cohen, annoyed at Pataki's "gold-digging," will publicly request that GOP donors keep their checkbooks away from him, calling the campaign he supports a "money vacuum."

Overall: -2. With Pataki's convention win filling his campaign with new life, he is certain to surge in the polls, despite his honeymoon trouble with Cohen.

Proxy Events for Hochul (Hestia's on vacation, permission was given)

1. Hochul will campaign in Buffalo, attempting to regain ground on her home turf by presenting herself as an outsider to Albany and New York City, a true champion for western New York untainted by the "corruption and gridlock" infesting the state government.

2. While the party lost its ballot access in 2018, Hochul will publicly reach out to the remnants of the Women's Equality Party, hoping to hijack a former Cuomo front and use it to continue slamming the Governor over his sexual harassment allegations.

3. Firing back at Cuomo's appeals to her husband, Hochul will seek the support of Andrew's mother, sitting down with the nonagenarian Matilda Cuomo, and even learning some Sicilian recipes from the second-generation immigrant.

Event One: 2. Once again, Buffalo shuns Hochul, with her events receiving low turnout and her appeals coming off as empty pandering.

Event Two: 7. The Women's Equality Party, or more accurately, what's left of it, will endorse Hochul, giving a minor boost and a new angle from which to attack Cuomo, though the group lacks ballot access.

Event Three: 6. Matilda Cuomo welcomes Hochul into her home, and they share a pleasant afternoon together, though of course she will not be betraying her son.

Overall: 0. With a mixed time of the campaign trail ultimately evening out, Hochul has done little to help herself after a failed campaign at the Democratic convention.

Curtis Sliwa ends his campaign for Governor, gives full support of George Pataki

“ ladies and gentlemen, this campaign from beginning was about restoring integrity, and dignity to the New York Republican Party, and I have said, from the beginning that I am committed to making that happen, even if the nominee is not me. republicans in the state of New York I’ve made it very clear on who they want to lead their party to take down Cuomo and his corrupt administration and fellow democrat who stood by him while it was convenient, that is why today I am suspending my campaign for the governor ship and putting my full support behind former governor George Pataki, he won the governor ship before, and I believe he will do it again. George has been a friend of mine for years and I have complete confidence in his ability to lead the state, I wish him all the luck in the primary and look forward to supporting him in the general election. Thank you and God bless the great state of New York, now me… I’m going to go and adopt another cat at the shelter and I am proud to announce the Sliwa home for pets, which will be an organization that will go to shelters that are looking to put down dogs and cats and we will adopt them and give them a loving home.”

Event One: 3. The Zeldin campaign seems disorganized as its volunteers throw themselves around the state lacking direction. Ultimately, only 5,000 of the 15,000 signatures are gathered, leaving the campaign unable to request ballot access for the moment.

Event Two: 3. Voters don't seem interested in meeting Lee, as the event receives poor attendance, and some comment on the sloppy handwriting for their autographs.

Event Three: 4. Trump turns Zeldin down politely, having an obvious familial connection to the race hamstringing such a request from Lee.

Event Two: 7. Suozzi's outreach to these minority groups proceeds wonderfully, with his volunteers gathering an additional 10,000 signatures, placing Tom with 17,000 total, submitted to the New York Court of Appeals for review.

Event Three: 6. The media buzzes about Suozzi's potential pick, and the attention works to his campaign's benefit.

Event Two: 3. The Working Families Party stalls on an endorsement, stating they are "unprepared" to make a decision in the race at this time.

Event Three: 2. After last year's NYC mayoral race, Yang has upset many movement progressives in New York, and Jumaane's base feels betrayed by his backing of Andrew.

Event Three: 8. Dismayed at this public humiliation, RFK will respond with an array of ads proving his strength, ads which actually perform well and heal some of the damage from his prior incident.

Event Two: 7. Rural New Yorkers are wary of Pataki's libtard leanings, and the mere mention of "woke" turns them even more against the former Governor.

Event Three: 2. Zeldin supporters see Trump Jr. as an unelectable, inexperienced distraction, and their views are only strengthened by his appeals.

Event Two: 6. Youth voters aren't exactly Cuomo's strongest demographic, however, the Governor receives reasonable turnout to his events and new insight on how to improve New York's higher education.

Event Three: 3. One of Eric's sleeper agents in the campaign alerts the Mayor of Cuomo's request in advance, with Adams then sending the Governor an email simply stating, "I am uneasy about supporting a non-vegan for Governor."

Overall: +1. While Adams' diet-fueled refusal drags down Cuomo's turn, the Governor's campaign marches on, still seeking a recovery from its convention misfortune.

1. Santos will hold a pretty typical rally in NYC focusing on his business credentials.

2. Santos will try to blackmail another economics professor, this time at Harvard.

3. Santos will attempt to spread some disinformation online that Pataki has suffered some serious health issues throughout the campaign

Event One: 4. The rally's attendance is lackluster, and Santos seems tired on stage, though no serious incident affects the event.

Event Two: 4. Once again, New York's econ professors seem unphased by political strongarming, as Santos' blackmail is quietly rejected.

Event Three: 8. GOP primary voters, already spending half their time watching Biden gaffes, are trained in the art of medical speculation, jumping at the chance to declare Pataki on his deathbed.

Overall: +1. While not surging forth with momentum, Santos' campaign proceeds smoothly this turn, buoyed by his online shenanigans targeting Pataki.

1. Kathy Hochul attacks the DNC for its endorsement of Williams, who she says is too far left for the state and will ruin its finances.

2. Hochul campaigns in Manhattan to try and gain a bigger foothold there for her base.

3. Lt. Gov. Hochul will deliver a speech in Albany focused on restoring a common-sense government in the state.

Event One: 5. Hochul's base obviously has concerns with Williams, though Kathy's voicing of these concerns leaves much to be desired, especially as talk of improper budgeting fails to impress voters.

Event Two: 5. Manhattan seems mostly apathetic to Hochul, and she leaves the borough having failed to win any voters over.

Event Three: 3. Kathy's speech is noted for dragging unreasonably long, and some in the media jab at her critiques of the state government, with her current status as a member of said government.

Overall: -2. While it's not a horrendous time on the campaign trail, Hochul still struggles this turn, failing to amaze in the four-way struggle to become Williams' main challenger.

1. Pataki will hit back on Donald's attacks, calling the Trump Family a family of "Losers."

2. Pataki and Sliwa will do a joint event lamenting Putin's unjustified Invasion of Ukraine. Pataki pledges to visit Ukraine in the upcoming weeks and states that the Pataki Foundation will direct all efforts toward humanitarian relief in Ukraine. Governor Pataki also promises that New York will be a safe haven for any Ukrainians seeking refuge.

3. Pataki will go to the New York upstate and talk to the voters about real issues. Saying as Governor he will take the burden off of rural New York, repair its crumbling infrastructure, expand internet access, and utilize the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to the fullest extent. He also throws some shade at Donald Trump Jr. saying, "Not only will he lose in a landslide to Democrats, but if he even managed to be elected he wouldn't do a thing about rural New York other than rile you up with buzzwords."

Event One: 8. Pataki swipes back at Don Jr. with strength, energizing his base and harming Trump with his hits against his family.

Event Two: 4. Not only does the hard-right hit Pataki for siding with "Ukrainian Nazis," most voters, in a sick display, are simply uncaring for humanitarianism.

Event Three: 3. After an exhausting, five-hour long detailing of his policy plans, Pataki unsuccessfully segways into a hit against Don Jr., only leaving the attendant voters rolling their eyes and waiting even more longingly for the end of the event.

Overall: -7. While his time on the campaign trail was no great failure, Pataki is hit with blow after blow from Trump Jr. and Santos, leaving the weak frontrunner embattled.

1. Zeldin will send volunteers throughout New York State in order to gain signatures to get on the ballot, hopefully it'll be enough this time. He'll even go asking for signatures in person while he talks about his tax cuts proposal.

2. Zeldin will attack Donald Trump Jr. saying his own father won't even support him and talks about how he'll be ruin Republicans chance of beating Cuomo and the Democrats.

3. Zeldin will ask Fmr. Pres. Donald Trump for his endorsement once again. He promises the former president that once he's Governor he'll make sure he gets the Electoral College votes for NY.

1. Donald Trump Jr. will respond to claims that he's unelectable by pointing out the fact that the only way he could possibly lose is if the Deep State rigs the election - just like they did in 2020, and the GOP convention.

2. Trump Jr. will take out an ad attacking Pataki's record as governor, such as his support for abortion, and gun control, to his possible involvement in the nine eleven terror attacks, as well as his support for the LGBT community.

3. Donny will excoriate Pataki for his recent visit to Ukraine, saying that it was an unnecessary bellicose gesture that drew America closer to a potentially disastrous war with Russia.
