A party leader with “iron fist”

Wyden is just a faction leader

Gotcha. I think I have this one right though lol: Add another 5% chance on top of this if the party or faction leader also has “Propagandist.” Wyden has propagandaist too.

2.1.6 Politician Conversions

Check for a disgruntled ideology: Any party that has ideological enthusiasm at the lowest level on the ideological enthusiasm meter might see a mass exodus of politicians going to the other party.

Newly drafted @WVProgressive Military Track Ashlee Sanchez a Progressive wonders how the hell did I end up with Traditionalists and jumps to @Murrman104 faction.

Targeting Opposing Party Members

Blue team doesn't have a party leader currently.

@pman President Haley can make one attempt. You can target Murrman or Hestia's factions.

Only Party Leaders can attempt to convert someone from another party, so long as their target is marked for “Party Flipping.” Can convert opposing politicians with “pliable” at a 10% chance and those with a personal ideology of moderate with a 5% chance.

 Targeting Same-Party Members of Another Faction

Most factions don't have faction leader currently.

@pman President Nikki Haley- all factions have high or max enthusiasm and can't be targeted

@MrPotatoTed Sen Cory Booker- one attempt at 33% chance (Can only target Hestia)

@jnewt Rep Ron Wyden- one attempt at 10% chance (Can only target Hestia)

May target same-party members of other factions, so long as their target is marked “pliable” AND has the same personal ideology as the faction leader making the conversion attempt.

2.1.7 Kingmakers & Proteges

@WVProgressive @ShortKing @pman @Murrman104 @MrPotatoTed @jnewt

A faction may not have more than one active kingmaker from the same state.  An active Kingmaker must be at least 35 years old and not on a career track.  There are no age limitations for protégé. An active Kingmaker gets one protégé from their own faction who must also be from their own state and own personal ideology. Some Kingmakers may have multiple proteges, but they cannot pick up more than one protégé per half-term.

Senator Booker will also target @Hestia Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.

If she's not available because @jnewt's attempt is successful first, then he'll try for @Hestia young career tracker Jennifer Tidings.

No kingmaker moves, as Hillary apparently doesn't have leadership or master kingmaker (booooo!)  ;c)

2.2.1 Congressional Leadership Elected

In the Senate the entire slate of incumbents will remain in place unless the player chooses to withdraw them from their position.

Sen Maj Ldr John Thune pman
Sen Maj Whip Ted Cruz WVPROGRESSIVE
Sen Pres PT Pat Roberts pman
Sen Min Ldr Jeanne Shaheen Hestia
Sen Min Whip Brian Schatz Murrman

In the House, the entire Republican leadership team of Paul Ryan, Kevin McCarthy, and Cathy McMorris Rodgers who have been in place since 2016 start are no longer serving in the House. So they will need a whole new leadership team. On the Democratic side Ron Wyden will remain as Minority leader if @jnewt wishes so but they will need to elect a new Whip to replace now Sen Lisa Blunt Rochester.

@pman @ShortKing @WVProgressive BrunnellCPU to vote on:

Speaker of the House -- Must be a US Representative who  previously served as a committee chair or House leadership/whip role or has the leadership trait, and does not have easily overwhelmed/incompetent. If no politician meets all requirements, then any US Rep is eligible.

Eligible pols include Eric Cantor, Steve Scalise, Doug Collins, Mike Rodgers, Mo Brooks, Jeff Flake, Trey Gowdy, David McCormick, Jim DeMint

House Majority Leader -- Must be US Representative who  previously served as a committee chair or has the leadership trait, and does not have easily overwhelmed/incompetent. Void requirements if no one is applicable.

House Majority Whips -- Must be a Representative who previously served as a committee chair or House leadership/whip role or has the leadership trait, and does not have easily overwhelmed/incompetent. Void requirements if no one is applicable.

Eligible pols include Eric Cantor, Steve Scalise, Doug Collins, Mike Rodgers, Mo Brooks, Jeff Flake, Trey Gowdy, David McCormick, Jim DeMint

@Murrman104 @jnewt @MrPotatoTed Hestia CPU to vote on:

House Minority Whip -- Must be a Representative who previously served as a committee chair or House leadership/whip role or has the leadership trait, and does not have easily overwhelmed/incompetent. Void requirements if no one is applicable.

This is open to any Rep. No one has leadership and Dems have never held Committee Chairs.

House Minority Whip Race:

(Need 85 votes to win)

@jnewt Andy Kim- 71

@Murrman104 Eric Johnson- 56

@MrPotatoTed Hillary Clinton- 29

HestiaCPU Seth Moulton- 14

Moulton is dropped and HestiaCPU endorses (random same-party pol) Eric Johnson

Round 2:

Andy Kim- 71

Eric Johnson- 70

Hilary Clinton- 29

No majority still so Clinton is dropped

@MrPotatoTed you're endorsement will decide it, so who do you pick for Min Whip?

I’ll back @jnewt Andy Kim.  He’s got the higher legislative skill level.

Ok Red Team Leadership:

For Speaker we have Jeff Flake vs Steve Scalise.  Who do you support @pman?

House Majority Leader- only one candidate, @WVProgressive Doug Collins, so he is so elected.

House Majority Whip- Matt Gaetz is ineligible as he does not have leadership and hasn't served as a committee chair before and their are other candidates who have.  Nobody is running any of the eligible pols though so I guess I will just randomly select from them to see who becomes Whip.
