La Follette gains 1 command, charisma, orator

La Follette as Majority Leader is cool enough. Imagine a President La Follette? With traits line that you have to think about it. One of the best leaders rolls I’ve seen

Also if anyone can help/jump in to update the History tab that would be awesome!

I got the 1928-1930 term finished, and started on the 1930-1932 term.  Senators, governors and reps still need to be done for this term.

Democratic Candidates for Party Leader:

@jnewt LA Senator Huey Long (5)

@MrPotatoTed NY Gov Franklin Roosevelt (7)

@Largo833 Mr. Harry Byrd Sr. (5)

BlueRight endorses Long, @Umbrella endorses Byrd, but disharmonious kingmaker votes for Roosevelt

Total Kingmakers:

Long - 5 +2

Roosevelt - 7 + 1

Byrd - 5 +1

1st Round:

Long: 7+6+4 = 17

Roosevelt: 7+6+1=14

Byrd: 6+5+1 = 12

Largo + Umbrella endorse Roosevelt, BlueRight endorses Long

2nd Round:

Long: 7+2+4 = 13

Roosevelt:  7 + 5 + 1 + 2 + 4 +3 + 2 = 24

@MrPotatoTed NY Gov Franklin Delano Roosevelt is the new Democratic Party Leader! Gains below

Action to @Umbrella and @Largo833 to for endorsements as Byrd has dropped.

Also, question for @MrPotatoTed, since there was no consensus after 1 round, I rolled 25% to see that BlueRight switches vote to highest PV, Roosevelt. But would the CPU make this switch from their first endorsement or should they only switch if their endorsed statesman is eliminated?

I don’t have the rules in front of me, but as long as nothing says otherwise, I’d think they stick with their first choice until their first choice isn’t available anymore.

Party Leader Enthusiasm:

@matthewyoung123 Herbert Hoover moves Cons Red+1 (now at Red +3!)

Hoover passes the leadership roll!

Party Preference -1 Red since Hoover has uncharismatic

@MrPotatoTed FDR moves Lib Blue +2 (now at Blue +3!)

FDR passes the leadership roll!

Party Preference +1 Blue since FDR has charisma

Party preference now at +3 Blue!

Looks like the playtest is matching real life. Interesting. I wonder how often that happens.
